FAFCO Technical is a local service business I've worked with directly on Google Business Profile optimization, technical SEO, and website structure. This page walks through the actual starting point, the specific work done, and the honest result — not a polished highlight reel.
When I began working with FAFCO Technical, several specific issues were holding back visibility:
Google Business Profile gaps — categories didn't fully reflect the range of services actually offered, and service areas weren't clearly defined, meaning the business wasn't showing up for relevant searches in nearby areas it genuinely served
No consistent review activity — reviews weren't being actively generated or responded to
Website indexing issues — technical problems meant some pages weren't fully visible to Google, regardless of the content on them
Weak internal linking and schema — the site lacked the structural signals that help Google understand how service pages relate to the business as a whole
None of these individually were catastrophic — but together, they meant the business was invisible for searches it should have realistically been winning.
Before touching anything else, the indexing issues were resolved so every important page was actually being crawled and considered by Google. Fixing visibility issues before optimizing content that Google wasn't even seeing yet was the priority.
Categories and services were corrected and expanded to match what the business actually offered. Service areas were properly defined based on where the business genuinely operated, rather than left vague. A regular posting schedule was set up, along with a consistent system for generating and responding to reviews.
Internal linking was tightened between service pages and relevant content, and schema markup was added so Google had explicit, structured information about the business rather than having to infer it from unstructured content.
Rankings, calls, and visibility were tracked over time using Google Search Console and Google Business Profile insights, with adjustments made based on what the data actually showed rather than following a fixed checklist.
FAFCO Technical currently generates roughly 70–110 organic calls per month — meaning calls coming directly from Google Search and Google Maps, without any paid advertising involved in that number.
It's worth being specific here: FAFCO also runs Google Ads separately, which brings in additional calls on top of this figure. The 70–110 number reflects organic visibility only — the direct result of the Google Business Profile, technical, and on-page work described above.
This result wasn't the outcome of one specific change. It came from fixing each piece — technical foundation, Google Business Profile, site structure — so they reinforced each other instead of one holding the others back.
This case study shows what's possible when Google Business Profile optimization, technical SEO, and website structure are handled together as one connected process, for a real local service business.
It doesn't guarantee the same numbers for every business — results depend on your specific market, competition, starting point, and how consistently the work is maintained afterward. What it does demonstrate is the approach: fix the technical foundation, rebuild the Google Business Profile properly, and structure the site so Google can clearly understand and trust the business.
